I have been busy sewing some new monkey face bags and hanging out with Lulu.
Lucky Space Monkey will be at the SF Zine Fest July 19 & 20th. 
I have also been inspired to do some new paintings by Lulu and the landscape of West Oakland 
This past week a great friend, Maurice of Seattle came to visit because he was here for a performance at the Lab on Thursday June 26th. "La Nostalgia Remix" by Guillermo Gomez-Pena and James Luna. Maurice has been working and traveling with James Luna.
The performance was awesome and inspiring. It was also great to see first hand what Maurice had been describing in many earlier phone conversations.

This past week I have been working on a new type of bag with a monkey face. Here are a couple of photos of the results. This is a smaller size bag with a wristlet handle ad a side zipper closure.
This week I have been working on some new products and a special custom bag a super great lady who loves monkeys. Here is a photo of the finished bag.
Here are two new paintings that are in the show this month at Benders.
The show will be up until July 1, 2008. Right now I am hanging out with Lulu and sewing and painting some more.
Today I picked up Lulubelle from her foster mom. She is such a joy and fantastically well behaved. We went for a walk at the park today and are going to visit Henry and Taffy this afternoon.
I just finished my last painting before the Benders Art opening tomorrow night. Last fall I painted an image of a monkey dreaming of a unicorn and a rainbow called Going to Cloud Nine. At the time my work a day job was very stressful and I wished to only dream of unicorns and rainbows instead of my former boss's unreasonable demands. This painting is looking to future and what can happen when you jump on the back of a unicorn...
I will also be selling posters of three of my paintings at the opening for $20.00 each or $50.00 for the set of three. They are also available online here

Then Friday I go to pick up Lulubelle at her foster mom's I can't wait. I post some photos of her this weekend.
Oh my I am almost ready for the show at Benders. It opens Thursday June 5th at 7pm.
I am very excited. Also Timi and I adopted Lulubelle the best dog ever on Sunday from Rocket Dog Rescue. I am going to pick her up from her foster mom on Friday. I wanted to wait until after my art opening but man it is hard to wait.
